Georgia drug penalties are enhanced for trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs,
marijuana, or methamphetamine. Depending upon the substance and the
amount, minimum jail time can be as high as 30 years in prison and
fines can be as high as $1 million.
OCGA § 16-13-31
Also keep in mind that, as often as not, what started out as a State
drug trafficking offense can quickly turn into a Federal offense
with even more severe penalties.
